Take a look!! Works like a charm also! The only issue is the LM7805 gets super hot!! I just got burned on my thumb. I guess its because of my repair but not sure. I need more testing to do.

Waaah. Its cute. 7805 can be get warm with a small heat sink. But im not sure why its get burning hot with your module. Those modules does not need that much power. How about go for small cell phone charger type 5V SMPS.
And damn its work with USB to IDE thingy. I never tested with that cable pluged. He hee. My USB to IDE thing also have SATA socket. I guess it will also work fine. SATA hard for Dirt Cheap USB FM Module. He hee. Not bad. 😀

But hey no wonder your 7805 reg get burning hot. Ur USB Flash and USB to IDE thingys suck more power.
Actually with nothing on USB its BURNING HOT still. But im sure HD can also take tons of power. Ill opt out the 7805 for a straight 5v 2A power supply i have. Ill just remove 7805 and bypass the pins with a single wire.
Yeah my cable has SATA, IDE and That Mini IDE (LAPTOP) its cool!
